General Taylor was another one of my favorite characters. He seems like a chill guy. The Lieutenant was also another great source of entertainment throughout the film, but we never see him again after he does his radio broadcasts.

I was actually happy with the ending. I was expecting him to either die or be told to leave so it was a relief to me that he left happily in one piece.

One reason I loved this film was because it wasn't like the other war or Vietnam films. For one thing they never played that song that is played in every single clip shown about Vietnam. There was a perfect mix of humor in this film with certain serious scenes to show how life was for the soldier and for the citizens in the villages and cities. There was hardly no focus on the battlefields, but rather the focus was on life on the bases and in the cities which was cool and new to see.

Carley, I thought that scene with a wonderful world song was pretty interesting too. You would think that they would play a sad song while showing scenes like that, but it was interesting to see how they were showing it and it fit the tone of the film.

Not going to lie Jordan, but I saw the bad kid coming. Just look at him...he looks like a V-C and the coincidence with the bomb going off at Jimmy's right after he left was just way to coincidental for me to believe.

Just finished watching the movie and I absolutely loved it! Robin Williams was amazing and all of the Vietnamese actors and actresses made me laugh every time they came on screen.

Why don't I start?

I think you guys, for the most part, were not really that into "Titanic." I thought the background information and the stories about the people who were actually on the ship were really interesting, but overall, the film seems pretty corny now, doesn't it?

One that you seemed to all like the surprised me was "American Graffiti." I thought it might be too Happy Days-meets-Sand Lot-and-looks-like-Grease-without-singing, but I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. A good coming of age film is universal, and that's what is so classic about "American Graffiti." It was a film that people like my dad loved-- and now even students your age can enjoy it. That was a really cool surprise.

What do you think would be a good addition? Some suggestions I got were as follows:

-"Star Wars" (not sure which one, probably one of the classics)
-"There Will Be Blood"
-"Avatar"
-"Forest Gump"

"Avatar" is so much like the movie "Dances With Wolves." That would sure be interesting!

i also thought that the wonderful world part was sad. it was one of those scenes that really mad u realize just how bad it was
